Working with parents beyond your child’s assessment.
Dr. Sutera realizes that the psychological evaluation is one step within a larger process and therefore works to maintain a lifelong relationship with those she evaluates. She serves as a trusted resource to help parents navigate the process and create a game plan once an assessment is completed.
Typically, re-evaluations are completed every 3 years, and sometimes sooner, in order to monitor growth and provide recommendations for further progress. She works closely with clients and families to help them prioritize recommendations, determine immediate “next steps,” and find appropriate resources and treatment providers.
Additional services available beyond the evaluation may include:
- Consultation with school staff, teachers, and other providers
- Attendance at PPT meetings
- Development, implementation, and monitoring of an intervention plan
- Re-evaluations to monitor growth
- Help and support in finding appropriate treatment providers and other resources
- Individual and family therapy
